Cyclones stay in the hunt for Hafiz
Iowa State recently made the cut for a Florida prep defensive back who named a top list of schools.
Jacksonville Sandalwood’s Quran Hafiz, a three-star recruit, included the Cyclones in a mix of top schools that now includes Duke, Indiana, Memphis, Minnesota, Oregon State, South Florida and Syracuse.
Sandalwood was a stop on the spring evaluation tour for a pair of ISU coaches.
Being from the state of Florida and considering a school in the Midwest could be a tough proposition, but Hafiz said he knows a few current Cyclones and that has helped open his eyes to the prospect of attending ISU.
