DT Harper has I-State in top five

Iowa State has made the top-five list of a Class of 2017 defensive recruit from the state of Pennsylvania, which was released over the weekend.

In a post on his Twitter feed, McKeesport (Pa.) Class of 2017 recruit Curtis Harper included the Cyclones along with Wake Forest, Toledo, Boston College and Syracuse. Although Harper hasn't yet visited campus, he said he's already got a good understanding of what the Cyclones are all about from former teammate Tymar Sutton, who is an incoming freshman on the team.

Harper said there's still a chance he could make it to Ames this summer, but that it's more likely he'll travel there in the fall.
